Step 1

Cut 1 piece of Bazzill 125mm x 297mm. This will be the background of your card.

Then cut 2 pieces of Bazzill 125mm x 95mm.

Step 2

With the wrong side of your Bazzill facing up and the short side against the edge of the Crafter's Companion score at the Gatefold A5 line.Flip it around and score the same on the other end.

Step 3

Turn over the Bazzill so that the right side is facing up and with the short side against the edge of the Crafter's Companion score at the Half Fold A4 line.

vwc_3.jpg

Step 4

Turn the Bazzill over again to the wrong side and with the short side against the edge of the Crafter's Companion score VERY LIGHTLY at the Tri Fold A4 line. If you prefer you could use a pencil to mark these lighter lines.

vwc_4.jpg

Step 5

Now move your Gatefold A5 line down to line up with the Tri Fold A4 line and again LIGHTLY SCORE on the Half Fold A5 line or mark with a pencil.

Step 6

Turn your piece around so that the long side is against the edge of the Crafter's Companion and use the first line to LIGHTLY SCORE or mark with a pencil form the Half Fold A5 line back to the Tri Fold A4 line. Turn it around and do the other side.

 vwc_8.jpg

You will now have a window section marked on your Bazzill.

vwc_7.jpg

Step 7

Using your craft knife and ruler. Cut this window out of your card. This will be where your transparent window will be.

Step 8

Fold your card on the Half Fold A4 line (right sides of Bazzill will be touching. Then fold back your Gatefold A5 score lines(wrong sides of Bazzill will be touching).

Step 9

Now you can emboss your 2 125mm x 95 mm pieces of Bazzill. The sandwich for the wizard is Emboss Plate / Impressabilities / Bazzill (right side up) / Cut Mate. Run both pieces through the Wizard to emboss.

After embossing I used some Versa Mark Ink and Pearl-Ex to highlight the Impressabilities pattern. I also inked the edges of these pieces.

I also inked the edges of my card at this time.

Next you need to adhere these pieces to your card.

The first piece becomes the front decoration. Stick this piece onto the front of your card like this.

vwc_11.jpg

The second piece becomes the back decoration. This piece is stuck down differently. It needs to be stuck onto the small folded section only, like this.

Step 10

The next step is to decorate your piece of transparency.

Tip: Line it up over the window you cut from your card first to make sure it is the right size.

Use your chosen rub-on or stamp to embellish the transparency.

Using small amounts of a clear glue adhere your transparency over your card window on the wrong side of your Bazzill.

vwc_15.jpg

Tip: You could use ribbon, lace, peel offs or even pearls or rhinestones to cover the edges of the transparency like this:

Step 11

Now place your image or stamped image onto the front of your card like this.

Only half of the image is adhered to the small front pane.

  vwc_14.jpg

Tip: I inked and distressed the edges of my image first.

Step 12

Now the fun part! Decorate and embellish your card with patterned paper and your choice of ribbons, lace and embellishments.

You could even add a ribbon to tie up your card like I have done here.
