I am sure these lovely ladies will help to get your creative minds
jumping with excitement..in the next few weeks we hope to start uploading some exciting information and how-to’s for you all to enjoy.l
We would like to introduce to you:
Deb ClarkeGuest Design member
Hi, my name is Debra Clark. I'm a punch artist and the author of the three "Punch Art Fun for Everyone" books. I've been enjoying my favourite craft for 11 years now and actually love it more than when I began all those years ago with just that one heart punch (can you imagine?). Needless to say my collection has grown, and it still amazes me to this day, how simple shapes can be used to make such cool art. I've been teaching punch art classes for 8 years and really enjoy that too. I'm a teacher at heart so passing on the fun is what I love to do! I've been married to my wonderful husband Andrew for 13 years. He doesn't do punch art (although he has) and I don't fish (although I have). Isn't marriage all about compromise?
Louise Dahlstrom
I am Louise Dahlstrom, from Emerald Creek in North Queensland. I feel honoured, thrilled, and excited, to have been chosen to be on the Down Under Direct Wholesalers Creative Project Team. I have been scrapping for about 4 years now and love the art and creativity it offers without being a graphic designer or artist. I predominantly scrap 12 by 12 Layouts and Off the Page Projects including Mini Albums, and have recently been making some cards, dabbling in some mixed media, and altered art, as a way of increasing my scrapping repertoire. I am passionate and enthusiastic about Scrapbooking as an art, and am inspired by new products and techniques. I am a self confessed “CHA Junkie” as those of you who know me well will know.I also enjoy sharing my knowledge and scrapbooking skills with others, in both an informal manner and in a teaching role. I look forward to working with Deb, her Staff, at Down Under Direct Wholesalers, and the other Members of the Creative Project Team in the 12 months ahead. I am excited to be working with such wonderful people and quality products and I look forward to the challenge of creating many, hopefully…, inspiring projects during this time. I would once again like to thank Deb and Down Under Direct Wholesalers for this wonderful opportunity.
Tracey Hunter
My name is Tracey and I am a stay at home Mum to 3 gorgeous kids 15, 9 & 7. I also have a 20 year old son who is about to bless me with my first Grandbaby.I live in Sydney and am eternally grateful for my very understanding, supportive best friend and husband. I am totally addicted to Scrapbooking and not afraid to admit it! I love crafts and always need to have a project 'on the go'.
Tracey Orchard
I grew up in Ontario Canada, moving to Australia when I married my husband Richard in 1990. I have one teenage daughter Hannah and one very spoiled poodle. I lived in Cairns for 18 years, but now call the Gold Coast home. My passion for paper crafting started 11 years ago when I started making cards using rubber stamps. My hobby quickly grew into a business and in 1999 I opened Platypus Creek Stamping and Craft. I operated this as a retail shop until December 2006. I love all forms of paper crafting but my favourite is still cardmaking.
Liz Weber
I am a SAHM scrapbooker who loves to scrap, chat, read, listen to music and take photos and I live in Brisbane, Queensland with my husband, Jason and our 2 children, Zane (7) and Sabrina (3). I have been scrapbooking for just over 4 years and creating digital sketches for 1 year and I have been making my own cards for almost 7 years. When I am not scrapbooking or card making I am thinking, dreaming, talking and reading about it. I have made some wonderful friendships through this passion and I enjoy scrapbooking in some form every day. I am very excited to be part of the Down Under Direct Team with Deb and the rest of the team.
Nat Williams
My name is Nat and I am… a scrapaholic LOL.If there were scrappers’ anonymous meetings, I think I would be a perfect candidate!!! I am a very proud single mum with 3 children aged 14, 13 & 8… they drive me totally insane most of the time yet still manage to be the most inspiring aspects of my life. My scrapping is usually all about my beautiful monsters and their crazy antics. I have been scrapbooking since 2005 where I sold all my work on ebay, then in 2008 I started my own personal adventure. This is where I still am, learning so much along the way. It's like being on one gigantic thrill seeking holiday, everyday you see something new and exciting you just have to have a go at, touch, feel, learn and play - absolutely love it… I am sooo very honoured to be a part of Down Under Direct Wholesale
Tristan Harris
Hi my
name is Tristan, I am 26 years of age I am engaged to Tracey who is also my
work colleague. We have a 3 month old son together and 2 cats which are
our babies also.
In
my spare time i have always done art and it will play a big roll in my life.
Music and visual art is my main focus from composing music and singing in
numerous bands over the years, to painting, drawing and sculpting.
I work
for Deb at DownUnder Direct alongside Tracey and have been here for
about 3 years now and loving it. I guess after working here for so long and
being involved in the scrapbooking industry so much i also have developed the
taste for scrapbooking too.
Leonie Taylor
Hi, my name
is Leonie Taylor. I guess you could say I am a Card maker and an Off the Page
creator first and a Scrapbooker second. I also love
to attempt mixed media, I say attempt because mine alwayscomes out looking too clean and a
bit neatish which isn't what mixed media artists aim for, but I do love to
try it. I often say I jumped the fence to scrapbook due to working
in the industry but with 2 beautiful granddaughters
I no longer
feel this is so. They inspire me.I have been creating with paper and stamps for nearly 20
years now and have been fortunate enough
to
work in the industry for the last 6 years, which gave me the opportunityto
teach both internationally, interstate and locally.
I
love teaching it gives me the opportunity to share the passion that we as
Paper Artists have,
it
sometimes hard to explain to friends why you just have to take the coaster,
serviette or that little tiny spoon off the plane for art
purposes.
I live with
my wonderful and very supportive husband Wayne who is also my go to
person when I can't decide which embellishments works the best and really
doesn't mind that my craft room now is becoming a craft house instead.
I look
forward to working with the other members of Creative Team and wish to
thank Deb for the honour of being part of this exciting new venture.
